Portland police investigate fatal shooting in Entertainment District

Portland Police are investigating a shooting in the Entertainment District that claimed the life of one adult male. Police say officers heard shots fired from the area of Northwest 3rd Avenue and Everett Street at 11:48 p.m.

Officers responded and found an adult male victim and began trauma first aid. The adult male was taken to a hospital for treatment, but after two hours of attempts to save his life, he succumbed to his injuries.

Police say the suspect or suspects left the area before police arrived and were not immediately located. The description of the suspect or suspects is not being released at this time, officials say.
