WET WEEKEND AHEAD

Our next weather maker will approach tonight. Saturday will begin with lots of clouds and highs near 70 degrees. Most of the day will be dry, but I anticipate more clouds than sun. Rain should overspread our area by the late afternoon/early evening hours through Saturday night. I cannot rule out any heavy rainfall to start out Sunday morning. Rain totals range from 0.5″ to 1″. Any sunshine we get around lunchtime or early afternoon will be enough to fuel the atmosphere for thunderstorms to develop along the cold front that will pass through in the later afternoon hours. Any storm that pops up along that front has the potential to turn strong to severe at any point. Stay tuned for more.

Other than that, early next week looks great. Get ready for lots of sun and seasonable temps for your Fourth of July week.
