Press Thornton Future Masters partners with Peachtree Sports Network
DOTHAN, AL (Atlanta News First) – Peachtree Sports Network (PSN) is excited to announce the live broadcast and stream of the 75th Press Thornton Future Masters Golf Tournament at the Dothan Country Club, on June 28-29. The broadcast will cover two afternoons of competition, highlighting the last nine holes of the 15-18 age group each day. WTVY News4 will also broadcast the event. WTVY is a sister station to Atlanta News First.
The Press Thornton Future Masters is one of the most prestigious junior golf tournaments in the world. This historic event has seen many golf legends compete, including U.S. Open champions Hubert Green and Jerry Pate, Masters winner Larry Mize, PGA champions Bob Tway, Mark Brooks, and Shaun Micheel and British Open winner Ben Curtis.
This year, the tournament is expected to feature Charlie Woods, son of Tiger Woods, competing in the 15-18 age group, promising an exciting addition to the competition. The tournament is also expected to feature Ben Curtis’ son Liam Curtis, Trevor Immelman’s son Jacob Immelman and Hank Kuehne’s son Henry Kuehne. Players will be from across 35 states and five countries.
“Broadcasting this event is great for Dothan, for the southeast, and for Peachtree Sports Network,” Vice President and General Manager of WTVY Valerie Russell said. “Golf fans from all over can watch the future stars of golf compete, live or streaming, right here.”
The broadcasts will air live on June 28 from 3 p.m. ET to 7 p.m. ET, and June 29 from noon ET to 6 p.m. ET. The livestream will be available on WTVY.com at those times. The live broadcast will be available on Peachtree Sports Network in select markets.
Peachtree Sports Network is available in Atlanta free over the air on WPCH 17.2, as well as Comcast, Spectrum, and streaming on YouTube TV and Fubo. Peachtree Sports Network is also carried free over the air on Gray-owned stations in Albany (WGCW 36.4), Augusta (WGAT 17.3), Columbus (WCTA 47.3), Macon (WPGA 50.1) and Savannah (WPHJ 19.3).
Gray Television made a heavy sports investment in its home city when they launched PSN, broadcasting Atlanta Hawks and College Park Skyhawks games, the 2024 WNBA Atlanta Dream season, and the Gwinnett Stripers, the Braves AAA affiliate. In addition, PSN is home to high school football, the Atlanta Vibe (Pro Volleyball), Atlanta Hustle (Ultimate Disc League), Atlanta Gladiators, Savannah Ghost Pirates (ECHL), and Georgia Swarm (Lacrosse).
