Primark, a value fashion retailer, is coming to Castleton Square Mall
Consumerism & fast fashion: What to know before shopping
Fast fashion is when companies make low-quality clothes as fast as possible and sells them cheap to cash in on fashion trends. But it takes a toll.
A new fashion store with low prices is coming to Indianapolis — and items will only be available to buy in person.
Primark will open a store at Castleton Square Mall on the northside, bringing the Irish brand’s high-quality products and low prices to the Circle City.
The brand will also bring a unique in-person shopping experience to Indy as Primark does not sell products online, operating solely as a brick-and-mortar store, a rarity in the age of rabid online shopping.
The Indianapolis Primark location is part of the company’s continued expansion in the Midwest and Southern United States. Primark currently operates 29 stores in 12 states, with aspirations to double that number by 2026.
The Dublin-based retailer expanded into the U.S. in 2015 with its flagship Boston store. Earlier this year, Primark announced a new flagship store at its first Manhattan location in addition to its first ever U.S. brand campaign.
It is unclear when the Castleton location will open. The downtown Chicago store is currently the closest location for Indianapolis shoppers.
