Priyanka Chopra Reveals Her Fashion Mood Board for Fall, Chats ‘Citadel’ & More
When it comes to fashion inspiration, I typically do one of two things: Comb through random Pinterest boards or experiment with my current wardrobe. So far, I’ve had mixed success with this method, but now, I’m feeling inspired to take a few pages from Priyanka Chopra‘s style book.
I recently sat with the Love Again star to discuss her partnership with Marshalls and the newly launched Good Stuff Accelerator Program. And during our talk, she teased some of her fall outfit ideas, adding the one thing that always makes her feel her best.
She said, “I’m in London for fall, I’m filming Citadel right now, so this is a really good time to be thinking about the fall season. I feel like, with the weather being really crazy right now, I’m really feeling a pants moment…maybe silky shirts with corduroy pants.”

FYI, if you’re unfamiliar with the series, Citadel follows two strangers who discover that they’re actually elite espionage agents whose memories were wiped clean. And Chopra hinted that her Citadel character, Nadia, may have inspired her tastes. She continued, “I don’t know if it’s because I’m shooting a show where my character is a badass spy, but I’m really feeling like, in London, going into fall, long jackets, silk shirts, corduroy, Italian leather textures… That’s what I’m seeing on my fashion mood board for fall.”
I asked the actress if there was one special piece in her closet that gave her a confidence boost. Her response? It’s her confidence that can make or break any outfit. She explained, “I feel like whether I’m in sweats or whether I’m in a red carpet gown, if I’m having a day where I don’t feel my best or I’m not happy, I don’t feel like I look my best either. So, I could be wearing runway outfits and not be feeling my best, and I think that’s really important. To be able to be authentic to who you are and be really confident in anything that you’re wearing.” Spoken like a true fashion queen.
Chopra also offered a bit of insight into her most recent roles, including Prime Video’s Citadel. And as it turns out, it’s not just Nadia’s style that inspires her. She told me, “Nadia is just a really intriguing woman to me, I feel like she doesn’t let people see her vulnerabilities except for those who are closest to her. She holds a really strong front and she has the ability to take care and protect. She’s just very dependable.”
She continued, “I think I relate with those characteristics of her. Very few people get to see my real side, my vulnerable side. And those are only the closest and dearest to me.”
As for Chopra’s upcoming action flick, The Bluff—which tells the story of a female pirate whose past catches up with her—she explained what attracted her to the project, which was written and directed by Frank E. Flowers. She said, “I was really surprised by the script, to see a female protagonist who’s a protagonist in the 1800s was really surprising to me. And then the deep dive on female pirates around that time. There were so many, and legendary ones.”
Noting the film’s diversity, she added, “The movie is based in the Cayman Islands in the Caribbean. To then do a deep dive into the Caribbean island and where people came from and how it was this really transient place for seekers to come stop and take a break. It’s the most incredibly diverse island you’ll ever go to, from people all over the world. So, the history of a place like that also really intrigued me. I think The Bluff is breaking the stereotypes of the pirate genre as well.”
With regards to her partnership with Marshalls, Chopra discussed why she supports the brand’s current initiative. She said, “What I love about this partnership is, we always talk about empowering women and women being able to find their authentic selves and live their best lives.”
“I feel like nobody really talks about the tangible nature of how women can do it,” she continued. “What Marshalls does so well is create a tangible environment for women to come into a community of other women and mentors and peers and opportunities, and very few people do that. Marshalls doesn’t just talk the talk, they walk the walk.”
