Proceeds from sports memorabilia auction in Harrisburg to benefit cerebral palsy
HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM)– Sports fans can bid on a variety of collectibles in Harrisburg Saturday.
United Cerebral Palsy of Central Pennsylvania is hosting its 37th sports memorabilia auction on City Island.
Among the hundreds of items on the block is a signed “Magic Johnson” jersey. There are also signed photos of Penn State cornerback Joey Porter Junior, Soccer star Christian Pulisic and WNBA star Caitlin Clark.
Billy Kaldes is the co-founder of the auction and UCP is “Near and dear” to his heart.
“The profits go to United Cerebral Palsy,” Kaldes said. “it stays here, we do about 22 counties in PA and about 1,900 clients is my delighter Jessica , so I’ve been doing this for a long long time.”
The live and silent auctions start at 10 a.m. and each year abc27’s Dennis Owens serves as the auctioneer.
