Pua Blooms grows love for matcha and flowers in mobile business
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The co-owners of Pua Blooms bring their love for matcha and flowers to Honolulu in a vintage VW truck.
Jolene and Branden Santiano joined HNN’s Sunrise to talk about their creative matcha drinks in Hawaii-inspired flavors and taking the small business they purchased last year to new heights.
“We pride ourselves in making all of our sauces from scratch, and hand whisking each matcha latte to order. We use high quality Ippodo Matcha imported from Kyoto, Japan,” Jolene Santiano said.
On Saturday, the truck will be in front of Jolene’s Ewa Beach at the Laulani Village Shopping Center at 91-1087 Keaunui Dr. from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or until sold out.
They also sell bouquets, a Bev and Bloom combo, monthly specials and staple menu items such as the Strawberry Matcha Latte and Ube Matcha Latte.
For January, they’re offering a Banana Lumpia Hojicha Latte, with homemade banana caramel sauce, choice of milk, hojicha, sweet cream, and a fried cinnamon sugar wonton chip. They also have a Winter Berry Matcha Latte with a white chocolate peppermint sauce, berry coulis, choice of milk, matcha, and sweet cream on top.
