As promised, Katy Perry performed a medley of her biggest hits during her Video Vanguard Award performance, from “I Kissed a Girl” and “Roar” to “California Gurls” and “Firework.”

I can appreciate that she stuck to the traditional format as past winners, though the entire ordeal felt extremely underwhelming for such a coveted award. She did energize her set with a special appearance from Doechii to perform their soon-to-be-released song “I’m His, He’s Mine” coming out on Friday.

It was a dope look for the TDE rapper after her “Alligator Bites Never Heal” mixtape dropped last month, but I did not expect to see her and Perry nearly kiss on stage (neither did Orlando Bloom). Seriously, someone check on him.
