Real Madrid concerned about the fitness of three stars following international break

As Real Madrid gear up to take on Real Sociedad in La Liga on Saturday, Carlo Ancelotti has some crucial decisions to make with regard to his team selection.

While Real Madrid have recovered Eder Militao and Ferland Mendy from their injuries, the club are still sweating over the availability of key men Jude Bellingham and Aurelien Tchouameni.

Furthermore, with the UEFA Champions League set to get underway next week, the manager has to decide whether to rest and rotate players or stick with his best possible team.

Concerns about the Brazil trio

Amidst this, AS reports that the situation for Real Madrid’s three Brazilian stars – Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo Goes, and Endrick – has become a topic of concern as the team prepares for a gruelling period ahead.

While there is reassurance that none of them are currently suffering from injuries, the stress from extensive transatlantic travel and the psychological strain of the recent international break has heightened the unease surrounding their fitness.

Vinicius, Rodrygo, and Endrick were involved in Brazil’s FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifying fixtures against Ecuador and Paraguay, winning the former and losing the latter.

Both Vinicius and Endrick have been criticised heavily for their displays, particularly against Paraguay, which may have an effect on them coming into Saturday’s game.

Furthermore, Brazil played their game late on Wednesday and as such, all three players are joining training later than the rest.

Rotations likely

The upcoming fixtures will be particularly demanding for Real Madrid, as they enter a phase of intense competition. Starting this Saturday, the team faces a gruelling schedule with seven matches over the next 23 days.

Consequently, the team will likely experience significant rotation over these three weeks to manage player fatigue and maintain performance levels.

As such, there is a likelihood that the three Brazilian players – Vinicius, Endrick, and Rodrygo, might receive less minutes this weekend against Real Sociedad.
