Real World star and Fox News host Sean Duffy divides viewers for telling wife and mother of his NINE children she ‘looked better’ when she worked out on national TV

Fox News host Sean Duffy took heat from some liberals after he told wife Rachel Campos-Duffy she ‘looked better’ when she was doing Jillian Michaels’ workout routine on Fox News.

Duffy, a former star of MTV’s The Real World and at one time a Congressman representing Wisconsin, was appearing with his wife and the mother of his nine children in a pop culture segment.

They were discussing workout guru Michaels’ appearance on Sage Steele’s podcast when Duffy made the aside.

‘By the way, you never look better when you were doing the Jillian Michaels [workout],’ Duffy joked.

Campos-Duffy, who gave birth to the couple’s ninth child in 2019, pointed out their friendship with Michaels.

Fox News host Sean Duffy created a funny moment on air with wife Rachel Campos-Duffy when he pointed out how she ‘never looked better’ than she did when doing the Jillian Michaels workout

‘I did to do a workout, and I did get with [Michaels], and we had her on,’ Campos-Duffy said.

‘She’s like, you got to get back on it, Rachel, and I do. I do. I got to do it,’ she added.

Some saw the segment as Duffy being disrespectful to his wife and tried to boil it down to politics.

‘Sean Duffy told his wife on the air that she looked better when she worked out and aren’t Republicans nice to their wives,’ wrote one user on X.

Duffy, 52, was the GOP representative for Wisconsin’s 7th District from 2011 to 2019 before joining Fox News.

‘Misogyny is normalized on FOX,’ wrote another.

‘I would’ve told him he looked better before he opened his mouth! Just zip it dude,’ added another user.

The couple, who met fellow Real World’s Campos-Duffy on a season of MTV’s 90s reality show, Road Rules, were married in 1999.

‘OMG. “Only on Fox News…!” You DON’T DO THIS to the mother of your NINE CHILDREN, anywhere, anytime!’

Duffy, who entered Congress in the Tea Party wave of the early 2010s and eventually an ally of Donald Trump, quit the House in 2019 when the couple learned that their ninth child had a heart condition.

The ex-representative was previously on the cast of MTV’s ‘The Real World: Boston’ in 1997.

He received a public thanks from the president for his support, who quoted a tweet from Republican congressman Doug Collins saying ‘he will be missed,’ and said himself: ‘I agree 100%!’

Duffy met his future wife on the set of MTV’s ‘Road Rules: All Stars’ in 1998. The two had appeared separately on Real World programs for the music network. Duffy was on The Real World: Boston and Campos-Duffy was on The Real World: San Francisco.

Together, Duffy and Rachel Campos-Duffy have nine children: Evita Pilar, Xavier Jack, Lucia-Belen, John-Paul, Paloma Pilar, MariaVictoria Margarita, Margarita Pilar, Patrick Miguel and StellaMaris.

In his resignation announcement, he said being away from his family for four days a week to serve in Congress is ‘challenging’ and ‘I have always been open to signs from God when it comes to balancing my desire to serve both my family and my country.’

‘I have decided that this is the right time for me to take a break from public service in order to be the support my wife, baby and family need right now,’ Duffy said.

‘It is not an easy decision – because I truly love being your Congressman – but it is the right decision for my family, which is my first love and responsibility.’

He served on the House Committee on Financial Services while in Congress and tried to replace the leader of the government watch dog group the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau with a five-person commission. His legislation did not succeed.

He also attempted to create a short-term independent board to oversee Puerto Rico’s financial planning and annual budgets when the U.S. territory was going through a debt crisis.

Duffy replaced 15-term Democratic Rep. Dave Obey, who was retiring, in the 2010 election.

Duffy had been a district attorney for eight years before being elected to Congress. He was born in Hayward, Wisconsin, the 10th of 11 children.

Duffy started log rolling at age five and speed climbing (sprinting up 60 and 90 foot poles) at the age of 13. He holds two speed-climbing titles and was a color commentator for ESPN’s ‘Great Outdoor Games’ competition.
