Red Door Book Store to offer extended hours for holiday shopping Dec. 17

BEMIDJI — The Red Door Book Store in the Bemidji Public Library will be open until 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, for holiday shopping at the library, 509 America Ave NW.

The Red Door has many gift options, including used Christmas gift books, CDs and movies, a release said. The used book selection also includes Children, Young Adult, Fiction, Non-Fiction and Biography categories.

“There are books for everyone on your shopping list,” added the release.

A large portion of the proceeds from the Red Door are donated to the public library to add to their collection.

The Red Door is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays and from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

Our newsroom sometimes reports stories under the byline “Pioneer Staff Report.” This byline is used when reporters rewrite basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as an email or press release that requires little or no reporting.

Other times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
