Refugee Language Project hosting “Taste the World” this Saturday
AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – The Refugee Language Project is hosting “Taste the World – Amarillo’s Global Food Scene” on Saturday.
The event will feature unlimited samples from local vendors representing food from around the world including Laos, India, Haiti, Mexico, El Salvador and more.
The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Arts in the Sunset, located at 3701 Plains Boulevard.
Participants will also observe and have the opportunity to purchase art, participate in art projects, bid on items in a silent auction and more.
Tickets are $30 per person or $55 for two entries. You can purchase tickets here.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Refugee Language Project, a nonprofit that uses language to welcome displaced people to the community.
