Renderings Unveiled for Coney Island B Entertainment and Gaming Development  – Connect CRE

The Coney, a $3 billion entertainment and gaming development project backed by Saratoga Casino Holdings, Global Gaming Solutions (a business entity of the Chickasaw Nation), Legends, and Thor Equities, has unveiled more details and project renderings. The development will include a 500-room hotel, a 2,500-seat concert venue, and space for locally-owned businesses.

The project is seeking a casino license from New York State to add a world-class gaming facility. Located in Coney Island’s entertainment and amusement district, The Coney aims to create a year-round economic engine, providing thousands of jobs for local residents and eliminating seasonal fluctuations in business. The project will feature a 250,000+ square-foot hotel, 92,000 square feet of convention center/meeting space, over 70,000 square feet of retail and food/beverage space, a 2,500-seat concert venue, and more than an acre of publicly accessible open space.

“We have heard time and time again that Coney Island needs a project that provides year-round economic support while also lifting up the infrastructure in one of the most densely traveled areas of the community,” said Sam Gerrity – CEO of Saratoga Casino Holdings. “The Coney does just that. Situated in the middle of a preexisting entertainment district steps away from one of NYC’s most iconic historical landmarks, The Coney just makes sense.”
