Report: Bally Sports Midwest does not plan to air St. Louis Cardinals games in 2025
ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KY3/KMOV) – Bally Sports Midwest does not plan to broadcast Cardinals games during the 2025 season, according to a report from the Athletic and Sports Business Journal.
Diamond Sports, Bally’s parent company, said it does not plan to continue broadcasting games for eight teams, including the Cardinals. Diamond made the statement in bankruptcy court on Wednesday.
The Athletic reports that the eight teams, including the Cardinals, must find another way to broadcast games or negotiate a new deal with Diamond. A contract would have to be approved by a bankruptcy judge.
At Monday’s end-of-season press conference, Cardinals President Bill DeWitt III said the uncertainty with the TV rights deal could affect revenue.
