Report: Cedar Point among 10 best theme parks, hotels in U.S.

SANDUSKY, Ohio — Cedar Point is among the nation’s favorite theme parks, according to USA Today’s 10 Best Reader’s Choice.

Additionally, on a separate list from theme parks, it made the rankings for 10 best theme park hotels in the U.S. 

The report is based on opinions from a panel of experts, and then the readers pick their favorites among those selected by the experts, according to USA Today. 

Cedar Point came in 10th place on the list for theme parks. The park is the second-oldest continually operated amusement park in North America, dating back to 1870. It has 18 roller coasters that cover more than 10 miles of track. 

The theme park that placed first is Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo. USA Today said the park attracts 2 million visitors each year. 

On the list for best theme park hotels, Cedar Point came in fifth place for its Hotel Breakers, which has waterfront views, full-service beachfront bar, outdoor pools, an outdoor water playground, fire pits and more. The hotel that came in first place was the Hotel Hershey in Hershey, Penn.
