Resident Evil Village free download available now, but you don’t have long
We could always do with more Resident Evil in our lives or that’s what I think anyway. And if we can play some Resident Evil for free, that’s always a bonus.
The Resident Evil series began in 1996 for the original PlayStation before making its way to other platforms. Over the years, the iconic Capcom survival horror series has evolved somewhat, and at least recently, for the better.

Capcom has been knocking it out of the park with its remakes, in particular Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 4, and fans are hoping that Resident Evil Code: Veronica will be next in line to receive the makeover treatment. However, in between the remakes we were treated to Resident Evil Village in 2021.
With its DLC, ‘Shadows of Rose’, Resident Evil Village is the conclusion to the Ethan Winters saga which began with Resident Evil 7: Biohazard in 2017. If you’ve never played Resident Evil Village and without giving too much away, if you like being chased by a giant vampire lady in a gothic castle, then this game is for you.
“This demo lets you experience a taste of the survival horror sensation, Resident Evil Village, as well as the Third Person Mode added in the ‘Gold Edition’, which brings a new perspective to the action. A time limit applies to how long you can play. Don’t miss out,” reads the description of the demo on the Steam store.
The Resident Evil Village Gold Edition demo is available to download right now. If you decide to purchase the full game, it currently has a hefty 60% discount bringing the cost down from £39.99 to £15.99.
Resident Evil Village is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. The demo is also available on PlayStation and Xbox.
