Ribs taken, business vandalized on East Side
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Reports said someone stole $150 worth of ribs while vandalizing an East Side business last week.
Police were called to a shipping container on McCartney Road that doubles as a restaurant about 10 a.m. Friday, where the owner told police he arrived in the morning and discovered the container had been broken into.
Eighteen racks of baby back ribs were taken, along with several bottles of syrup, reports said.
Buns and cheese sauce were thrown outside, a DVR was tampered with, and three headsets with microphones were also missing.
Police found the bottles of syrup, a camera and the headsets scattered around the business and across the street, reports said.
A beer can was also found at the scene. The department’s Crime Lab was called out to find and collect evidence.
