Knives Out 3 just got more exciting as makers have now roped in Andrew Scott in the upcoming sequel. After we got to know of actors Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny, Andrew joins the starry ensemble of the hit franchise of whodunit films.

The Ripley star will be seen in Knives Out 3 which is titled Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery. Daniel Craig will reprise his role as detective Benoit Blanc who investigates murders and unravels the mystery in each film.

Wake Up Dead Man will be the third Knives Out film.

Daniel Craig to return as Benoit Blanc

The film will again be written and directed by Rian Johnsson. He is also producing with his T-Street partner Ram Bergman, who worked on the first two films. Wake Up Dead Man is expected to soon go into production and is slated to release in 2025.

Apart from news on the cast, we don’t have much information as the plot details of the third film have been kept under wraps for now. However, both Daniel Craig and Rian Johnson peg it to be Blanc’s “most dangerous case yet.”

Teasing the third film, Rian wrote on social media, “I love everything about whodunits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.”

The first Knives Out film released in 2019. The second released on Netflix and was an even bigger hit than the first. Glass Onion came out in 2022. It also released selectively in theatres.
