For Rita’s 10th appearance at the fundraiser, she put her figure on full display as a curtain of colourful beads barely concealed her modesty.
The singing sensation revealed the beading on the dress dates back to 1st and 2nd century BC and they are sourced from all over the world.
She told carpet presenters Gwendoline Christie and Ashley Graham: ‘I think some of these beads are older than people on the planet… It is very heavy’.
To accessorise, Rita paired her bold look with a pair of nude heels and a gold bag.
She was spotted leaving the Carlyle Hotel wearing a bizarre headpiece which seemed to have been discarded before she arrived at the star-studded event.

She wanted to celebrate women’s existence with her look, as she told Entertainment Tonight: ‘Hi guys, I’m wearing a necklace this year at the Met.
‘This is about the beauty of the body and women’s existence and presence. [It’s about] not doing as much but also doing a lot, you see what I mean? And these beads are from actually second century BC.’
