Road Work to Impact Travel in West Central Indiana

It’s construction season, and some projects will be affecting motorists as they travel in west-central Indiana.  The Indiana Department of Transportation says State Road 28 over Stoney Creek in Warren County will temporarily close on or after June 28th.  The road will be closed from the Illinois-Indiana state line to County Road 1000 W, located just west of West Lebanon for bridge maintenance work.  The closure is expected to last until the end of November, but the reopening date could change depending on weather conditions.

In addition, the Indiana Department of Transportation is announcing a temporary closure of the southbound lanes of U.S. 41 between Boswell (in Warren County) and Carbondale, effective on or after Thursday June 27th.  The northbound lanes in that area that closed in April will be re-opened.   A crossover will continue to allow traffic through the area as the work is done on the southbound lanes.

Crews will be working on structures and drains in the area.  IDOT encourages all drivers to use caution in and near the construction zones.
