ROH announces #1 contender match for world title to challenge Briscoe at Death Before Dishonor

Ever since Mark Briscoe defeated Eddie Kingston to win the ROH World Championship at Supercard of Honor, Dat Boy has spent most of his screen time in AEW. As a result, there hasn’t been much material developed on ROH TV to establish a challenger for Death Before Dishonor on July 26. Now, we have a clearer idea of who will step up to Briscoe after ROH announced a #1 contender match.

Roderick Strong will wrestle Dalton Castle on this week’s episode of Collision to determine who earns the next shot at the ROH World Championship.

Strong and Castle have history with each other. The peacock was victorious in Strong’s last match for ROH in 2016. Both men are also former ROH world champions in their own right.

During Briscoe’s career, his singles record against Strong is 3 wins and 3 losses. Briscoe has never faced Castle one-on-one in the ring.

If you have a deep yearning to find out the Collision winner, spoilers are available.

Would you rather see Mark Briscoe compete against Roderick Strong or Dalton Castle at Death Before Dishonor?
