RVK Podcast talks about WVU sports and Caitlin Clark in the WNBA

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (WTAP) – With summer officially upon us, it means that football season is just around the corner!

WVU kicks off their season in a highly anticipated match-up with one of their rivals, Penn State, on August 31, at noon.

WVU baseball made a super-regional for the first time in school history but bowed out of the tournament to the #8 seed North Carolina Tar Heels.

It was a great season for the Mountaineers baseball team and their leader, Head Coach, Randy Mazey, also announced he is retiring as the coach.

WVU Basketball will be heading to Europe shortly for a preseason trip to help build some chemistry as the team is slowly coming together under their new Head Coach, Darian Devries.

Just a few short months ago, Caitlin Clark, was a superstar at the college level leading the Iowa Hawkeyes Women’s Basketball team all the way to the championship game, falling short losing to the South Carolina Women’s Basketball team.

Clark has since been drafted to the WNBA, where she was picked #1 overall in the draft by the Indiana Fever, where she is still learning the ins and outs of playing professional basketball.
