The Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, located on the slopes of Africa’s second-highest peak, is now offering ecofriendly safaris where guests can walk, bike and ride horseback rather than traveling in motorized vehicles.

endangered mountain bongo antelope and other diverse wildlife, including
zebras, buffaloes and waterbucks. Guests can get up close to observe the mountain bongos in a large reserve and the first sanctuary of its kind for the bongos in Kenya. Travelers who wish to assist conservation efforts can participate in animal adoption programs, which also benefit the welfare of rescued animals and the work of the conservancy.

Visitors are encouraged to plant a tree in the Mount Kenya Wildlife Conservancy or a rose within the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club estate as a way of helping to restore the slopes of Mount Kenya.
