Salon owners move business to new location

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) – Shear Happiness on Main, a hair salon in Hazard, is now in a new location.

Owners decided to move the business from across Hazard City Hall to East Main Street, next to Custom Cleaners.

Co-owner Britany Howard said they wanted to add onto their business.

”We really wanted to expand our business. We were in a really beautiful location before, but we just didn’t have the space that we wanted. Also, we were in the flood zone. We went through two floods the first month that we were there, and then another, obviously, the big 100-year flood, we were involved in that too,” said Britany Howard.

Howard also said they were able to hire a nail technician and someone who can work with eyelashes.
