Sam Rubin, legendary Hollywood reporter dead at 64
LOS ANGELES (AZFamily) — Iconic entertainment reporter Sam Rubin, 64, died Friday after suffering a heart attack at his Los Angeles home, KTLA confirmed on the air Friday afternoon and first reported by the website TMZ.
For 32 years, Sam has been a household name on TV in Southern California, reporting for KTLA-TV in Los Angeles. Sam covered everything entertainment and the latest news from Hollywood for the station’s morning show. He also branched out to do nationwide reporting for KTLA’s sister stations, including WGN-TV Chicago and some appearances hosting red-carpet events for the E! Television Network.
Rubin received multiple awards and recognitions, including a lifetime achievement award from the Southern California Broadcasters Association and a Golden Mike Award.
