San Joaquin County Authorities Recover Stolen Property, Dismantle Illegal Gambling Operation

A probation search conducted at a residence on Bear Creek Way in Stockton has resulted in four arrests and the seizure of stolen property, cash, and a firearm, authorities say.
The search, led by the San Joaquin County Auto Theft Team, uncovered approximately $30,000 in cash, stolen merchandise valued at $80,000, one firearm with ammunition, and a stolen Interstate trailer, according to a press release by the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities reportedly also dismantled an illegal gambling operation on Delivery Street, also located in Stockton.
The investigation reportedly involved collaboration between the San Joaquin County Regional Auto Theft Taskforce, which includes personnel from the California Highway Patrol, Stockton Police Department, Manteca Police Department, San Joaquin County Probation Department, Tracy Police Department, San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, and the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office.
Authorities identified the arrested suspects as as Thai Nguyen, 58; Lan Nguyen, 51; Nha Hoang, 36; and Priya Singh, 40.
All four face a litany of charges including felony organized retail crimes, felony firearm offenses, conspiracy, operating an illegal gambling facility, possession of a stolen vehicle, probation violation, and felon in possession of ammunition.
