Saoirse Ronan Has Simply Become My Latest Fashion Obsession
While I’ve grown accustomed to seeing Saoirse Ronan in period dress on screen, off-screen, the young actor has been flexing her modern style as she promotes a number of new projects, including The Outrun and Blitz. And thanks to her work with stylist Danielle Goldberg, Ronan has been enjoying a real fashion renaissance as of late.
On Thursday, just when I needed a pick-me-up from this crushing week, Ronan brought some joy in two totally different looks that only cemented her effortless-cool factor.
She started out the day in New York City’s Lower East Side, where she stepped out in a black-and-white ensemble from Issey Miyake. The set included an obsidian turtleneck sweater that featured short sleeves and stretchy, jersey-like material that was slightly see-through.
The Little Women star layered the cozy sweater over a deconstructed white jumpsuit that featured panels of folded fabric hanging in front of her pant legs and a turtleneck bodice that peeked out from underneath her jumper. To complete the look, Ronan added a pair of oversize shades from Thistles, as well as peep-toe pumps from Khaite and earrings from Sophie Buhai.
While Ronan was giving minimalist art teacher with her first look, she brought some shimmer—and color—with her second ensemble of the day, which was pulled straight from the Versace Spring/Summer 2025 runway.
As she headed to the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the unusually hot weather allowed Ronan to pull out this midi number, which featured glistening copper-and-lemon-colored sequins, creating a floral-like pattern across the design.
The sleeveless dress featured a small center slit at the front of the skirt, and Ronan buttoned it up all the way in the front, giving the flirty piece a more formal touch. Finally, she completed the look with a set of golden metallic heels, which paired perfectly with the tones of the dress.
If there’s one thing that will keep me cheery this week, it’s Ronan’s ever-inspiring style streak.
