Saturday Night’s Main Event results: GUNTHER retains world heavyweight title

Finn Balor was originally set to challenge for the world heavyweight championship held by GUNTHER at tonight’s (Sat., Dec. 14, 2024) WWE Saturday Night’s Mania Event show in Long Island, New York, all by his lonesome. Then Damian Priest got involved again and he was quickly inserted to make it a triple threat.

There’s some Steiner Math to be done there.

The match was a certifiable banger, with a ton of hot near falls only broken up because there was a third man in the match. Both Balor and Priest were within a moment of becoming champion.

But GUNTHER is where he is for a reason, and he got the job done once again. He powerbombed Priest on the steps on the outside — having to show insane strength by double clutching — before doing the same to Balor in the ring, stacking him up for the pinfall.

Who will ever defeat this man?
