SAU business program receives national award – Saint Augustine’s University

Saint Augustine’s University (SAU) has received another accolade for its academic offerings: Research.com has given Saint Augustine’s its Best Business Degree Programs in America Award.

Research.com is a leading educational platform that helps students find the best schools, academic opportunities, and career paths by providing a wide range of comprehensive, data-driven guides and resources. This series of rankings is focused on online programs and features the best U.S. institutions across a wide range of regions and degree types.

Saint Augustine’s was recognized for its “outstanding achievements in Business education” and for its “dedication to academic excellence and student satisfaction with their Business programs.” The award, Research.com stated, “was granted after a meticulous analysis of a wide range of metrics conducted by a team of experienced data scientists. This rigorous process ensures that the award truly reflects the institution’s commitment to providing an exceptional Business education and fostering an enriching environment for its students.”

The award is a result of hard work, said Dr. Indrani Singh, SAU’s Interim Vice President, Institutional/Undergraduate Research and Effectiveness.

“It is inspiring to witness the incredible contributions and journeys of growth, discovery, and success that our faculty and students at the School of Business, Management, and Technology have embarked on ever since its inception,” Dr. Singh stated. “May this award inspire our students and faculty to strive for even greater accomplishments. A big shoutout to the team at SBMT.”

The award is the latest indication of the quality of education offered by Saint Augustine’s University. Last month, U.S. News & World Report ranked SAU 65th among Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the “Best Colleges” rankings for 2025 – four spots above last year’s No. 69 ranking.

Janelle Jennings-Alexander, Interim Provost & Vice President for Academic Affairs, added:

“The School of Business, Management, and Technology, which is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, has been a significant source of pride for SAU. This recognition is a testament to the continued academic excellence that is and has been a hallmark of this great and historic institution.”
