Savannah Bananas world tour ticket lottery for Grand Rapids games breaks 80K
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – Banana Ball fans’ chance to see the Savannah Bananas’ first Michigan game next year at LMCU Ballpark is shrinking fast.
Around 82,000 fans indicated interest in next summer’s games at the home of West Michigan Whitecaps baseball, Carson Bowen, ticket experience director for the Savannah Bananas, told MLive.
“We’re thrilled to see such excitement towards our first visit to the state,” Bowen said in an email.
The Whitecaps announced earlier this month that the Banana Ball World Tour featuring Savannah Bananas’ Party Animals will go up against Firefighters on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 12-14, 2025. LMCU Ballpark is located at 4500 West River Dr. in Comstock Park, a Grand Rapids suburb.

Bowen said the Savannah Banana, received over 2.3 million total submissions in the first week the world tour was announced.
Fans can still enter the ticket lottery at banaball.com before it closes on Nov. 1.
LMCU Ballpark’s stadium only has capacity for 10,000 guests, according to the venue’s website.
Joining the lottery does not guarantee the opportunity to buy tickets. Names will be drawn randomly about two months before the event for the chance to then buy tickets online.
Once the lottery closes, fans will join the ticket wait list and be notified if tickets become available. All lawn, reserved, box and premium box seats will be sold as general admission tickets by Banana Ball. Suites, 4-topps and hospitality spaces will be sold through the Whitecaps and will be available as part of the annual group lottery to be held on Nov. 21.

What began five years ago as a trick rule set to get baseball fans more excited and engaged has since grown into a worldwide phenomenon with multiple affiliate teams under the Savannah Bananas Brand.
Banana Ball consists of 11 unique rules such as a two-hour time limit on games, no walks, foul balls caught by fans count as outs and the “golden batter” rule, which allows each team one opportunity to deploy any hitter from any spot in the lineup.
Dan Morrison, vice president of sales and marketing for the West Michigan Whitecaps, in a statement announcing the tour, accurately predicted tickets would be a hot commodity.
“In other markets, waiting lists regularly have over 100,000 people, and tickets have sold out in less than 24 hours,” Morrison said earlier this month.
“Knowing the fan base we have in West Michigan, I have no doubt we will see the same.”
