Schuyler County Man Accused of Chasing After Woman in Planet Fitness – Finger Lakes Daily News

State Police say a Schuyler County man has been arrested for allegedly causing a disturbance at the Planet Fitness near the Arnot Mall in Big Flats.

Investigators say that as a woman was walking into Planet Fitness, 64-year-old David Ruppel, of Alpine, began chasing after her.  The victim ran into the gym and hid behind the counter as Ruppel continued to chase after after.  Planet Fitness employees intervened and protected the woman before Ruppel took off on foot.  He was later taken into custody without incident as he was leaving the Arnot Mall.

Ruppel was charged with menacing and was released on an appearance ticket for Big Flats Town Court.
