Scott Thomas’s food and fitness firm goes bust – owing brother Adam thousands

LOVE Island star Scott Thomas’ food and fitness business has gone bust – after brother Adam ploughed £100k of his own cash into it.

Scott, 35, set up Food4Thoughts during lock down and employed around a dozen people, before pulling the plug after it racked up debts of £366,143.

Insiders say the firm ran out of money after failing to attract enough members who paid up to £100-a-month for fitness, weight loss and nutrition tips.

The firm also organised workouts and park run-style events.

The most recent accounts filed last year showed the company – called F4Thoughts Ltd –  had creditors of £366,143  – including investors and the tax office – and with assets and cash reserves taken off,  the outfit was  £299,487 in the red.

Our source said: “The concept was great and members loved it but the firm needed more people and they weren’t signing up and Adam and Scott simply couldn’t commit any more cash to the venture.”

Scott set up the firm with airline pilot Eden Thomas but he resigned as a director late last year.

And Scott – who appears on podcast Mancs on the Mic with Adam and ex-Corrie star brother Ryan – revealed just days ago that the firm had gone belly-up.

Scott, who also runs his own PR agency, said: “It’s mad to think through transforming my own life in 2020, I got to help transform hundreds of people’s lives over the last 3 and half years…

“The gift of being able to inspire people is something I will never take for granted and it’s not something l’Il be leaving here…..

“Grateful for the memories, grateful for the lessons, grateful for the people I’ve met along the way… @food4thoughts may have run its course but I will continue to run mine…see you at work.”

It is the second food firm that Strictly 2023 star Adam has been involved in to fail.  His Greater Manchester restaurant The Spinn is currently in liquidation with big debts.

Scott spoke about his vision for Stockport-based Food4Thoughts when it was launched,  revealing: “If you want a glass of wine every night – we’ll make it work.

“Want a Maccies on the weekend? We’ll make it work. It’s all about finding the balance and the best plan for you.

“With Food4Thoughts you can achieve your goals by having the foods you love.

“The fad diets – keto, whatever it is – all basically bundle up the same thing in a different way: Calorie deficit.

“What we do is give people the tools they need. It’s about breaking down myths and preconceptions in the diet world.

“Some of the transformations we’ve seen have been remarkable – both physically and mentally.”
