SD Women’s Business Center will host hundreds for 11th Annual Leadership Summit

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KEVN) – The SD CEO Women’s Business Center will host their 11th Annual Women’s Business Summit Cohort to not only celebrate the power of women in business but to provide real opportunities to budding entrepreneurs looking to become more equipped in business.

The Summit will consist of 4 days of professional development series beginning on Thursday, June 13 & Friday, June 14, and in Spearfish on Thursday, July 18 & Friday, July 19.

Whether you are an entrepreneur or an executive looking to move up the corporate ladder, Bailey Sardowsky, Program Coordinator, SD CEO Women’s Business Center says, “They are a forum to learn how your personal skills and strengths and how you can use that whether that’s starting your own business or operating the business you own if you want to move up in your own career for another company or develop management skills but it’s really all about the network of women you will join.”

Sadowsky adds Session 1 (June) will focus on leadership and empowering participants to leverage their unique perspectives and strengths to effect positive change in their organizations and communities. She adds that in Session 2, (July) participants will deepen their management principles by exploring interpersonal dynamics, technical training, and strategies for effective people management. Included in the Women’s Business Summit class ($399) will be food and assessments, and over 200 women will graduate from this program. Registration deadline is May 22. According to the website, SD CEO, Women’s Business Center, provides training and business assistance to current and aspiring entrepreneurs from start-up to expansion. Special areas of focus: Training: developing, providing and/or recommending training, seminars and workshops to meet the needs of startup and existing businesses. Counseling: facilitating how SBA might best serve client needs and encourage the best direction in pursuit of a successful business. Technical Assistance: identifying resources for comprehensive training, mentoring and counseling to help entrepreneurs reach business goals.
