SDDOT issues No Travel Advisory for sections of southeast South Dakota
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The South Dakota Department of Transportation announced road closures were in place for southeast South Dakota due to flooding on Friday as of 2:00 p.m.
The advisory covers all state highway sections that are experiencing flooding due to heavy rain.
Interstate 29 was reported to be blocked at the Davis and Canton exits with northbound traffic being diverted at Exit 50 north of Beresford and southbound traffic being diverted at the Lennox exit.
The department also anticipates Interstate 90 to close on Friday evening with more rainfall expected.
