Seahawks Volleyball travels to Ave Maria Wednesday, set to host Warner Friday Night – Keiser University Athletics

The Keiser volleyball team returns to action this Wednesday traveling to Ave Maria, Fla. where they will face the Gyrenes in more conference play. Last Saturday, the Seahawks defeated the Southeastern Fire in a four-set thriller. After dropping set one, the Seahawks came back with fury taking sets two, three and four to seal the victory for Keiser. This marked the first win over Southeastern since 2022. 

Moving forward to Friday, November 2nd, the Seahawks will host the Warner Royals. This makes up for the postponed match due to Hurricane Milton back on October 12th.

Ave Maria Series

• The Seahawks are 26-12 in the series versus the Gyrenes
• On the road in Ave Maria, Fla. Keiser’s away record is 9-6
• In the last 10 matches against the Gyrenes, the Seahawks are 7-3
• Keiser has won the last two matches against Ave Maria, sweeping both matches 3-0
• Last match versus Ave Maria, Mackenzie Pryor notched 17 kills and Frederica Silva was just behind her with 10
• Abby Lester recorded a season-high of seven kills
• Amie Molina had three service aces

Warner Series

• Keiser has not loss a match to Warner since 2018, a 12-game winning streak
• Overall, the Seahawks are 20-21 all time versus the Royals
• Keiser is 10-0 in the last 10 matchups in the series
• At home the Seahawks are 10-7 against the Royals
• In the last matchup in September, the Seahawks dropped set one but came back to take the win 3-1
• Abby Lester had two service aces in the four-set win

• Just playing one game in the week, the Seahawks record advanced to 26-4, 6-4 in conference play
• The Seahawks defeated the Fire of Southeastern in the four-set win
• Mackenzie Pryor was named the Sun Attacker of the Week with 21 kills and a hitting .263, her eighth weekly award this season
• Amie Molina, Pryor, Frederica Silva and Ashley Strefling all recorded double-doubles in the win
• Pryor reached the 500-kill mark this season, she now has 518 this year. The lone player in the NAIA to reach the milestone
• The Seahawks are splitting setter time with both freshman Amie Molina and Ashley Strefling seeing time on the court
• Faith Marquis also reached the 500-mark for the season, the junior libero now has 521 digs this season
• She leads Keiser with 44 service aces
• Aby Tibesar leads the Seahawks defensively with 77.0 blocks this season, she reached a new season-high of eight on Saturday versus Southeastern
• Head Coach James Rogers enters Wednesday night with a record of 186-75
