Sears partners with Amazon Business to streamline appliance repairs

Sears Home Services, a division of Sears and a provider of home repair and improvement services, has partnered with Amazon Business to expedite the sourcing and delivery of appliance parts.

The collaboration aims to enhance repair efficiency and reliability for the more than 2 million households Sears Home Services serves annually.

Sears Holdings Corp. is No. 79 in the Top 1000 Database. The database ranks North America’s largest online retailers by their annual web sales.

Sears partnership with Amazon Business

Through the partnership, Sears Home Services is leveraging Amazon Business’ extensive parts inventory and logistics capabilities for one-day ordering and delivery. This shift has resulted in faster access to hard-to-find components that previously caused delays in repairs.

According to the company, the integration has enabled Sears Home Services to complete over 50,000 orders for appliance parts since implementation six months ago. The collaboration has reduced the average time from customer requests to issue resolution by 15%.

Jonathan Epstein, head of strategy and operations at Sears Home Services, highlighted the benefits of the arrangement, stating that Amazon Business has streamlined sourcing and significantly improved repair timelines. Stephanie Lang, director of commercial business at Amazon Business, added that the partnership has expanded access to products and enhanced the overall customer experience.

Sears Home Services is part of Transformco, the parent company of Sears and Kmart, and offers a wide range of services, including appliance repairs, HVAC maintenance, and installation of home improvement products such as garage doors and windows. The partnership reflects an effort to modernize operations and improve service delivery amid a challenging retail landscape.
