Seattle Sounders learn group stage opponents for FIFA Club World Cup 2025 | Seattle Sounders
The wait is finally over. The stage is set for the best clubs from around the world to compete in what will be a historic, revamped FIFA Club World Cup 2025 beginning on June 15 next year.
FIFA held the Club World Cup draw in Miami, FL on Thursday to determine the groupings of the 32 qualified teams from each of the six confederations. The Seattle Sounders were placed in Group B with Paris Saint-Germain, Atlético de Madrid and Botafago.
The Sounders will kick off the group stage against Copa Libertadores champions Botafago, who currently sit 1st in Brazil’s Serie A. Then, the team will face UEFA’s La Liga team Atlético de Madrid in its second match. Seattle will close out the group stage against another UEFA side, Ligue 1 powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain. All three of the matches will take place at Lumen Field in Seattle, Wash.
