The Syndey premiere of “Furiosa: Mad Max” was one big dystopian fashion bonanza, with Anya Taylor-Joy and her arrow-spiked gold mesh and chainmail dress at the helm.
Anya, who stars as the war captain Imperator Furiosa in the prequel to “Mad Max: Fury Road,” in theaters May 24, looked utterly stunning in this out-there number from Paco Rabanne’s Spring/Summer Haute Couture 1996 collection at the May 2 screening.
Anya wasn’t the only star who went full-on apocalypse style for the red carpet in Sydney, either. Her castmates dazzled in everything from warrior makeup and sequins to lace, fringe and leather.

Gold and brown crystals and gems bedazzled Anya Taylor-Joy’s vintage look, which included a headpiece made of the same copper and silver base as the dress — and bursting with the same arrows that pop out from the star’s waist.
The daring number made its debut in 1996 at Paco Rabanne’s “12 Unwearable Dresses” collection, a follow-up to the famed designer’s “12 Experimental Dresses” circa 1964.
