Selena Gomez Had a Cinderella Fashion Moment at the 2025 Golden Globes

Selena Gomez has had quite the year. Not only can she now call herself both a billionaire and a fiancée, but she also boasts the title of four-time Golden Globe nominee, having picked up two nominations this year for her work in Emilia Pérez and Only Murders in the Building. Naturally, she wore a powder blue Cinderella dress dress that was perfect for her glow-up as she arrived at Sunday night’s celebration with Benny Blanco.

Calling the romantic off-the-shoulder Prada gown “part Jackie O, part Cinderella” on the red carpet, Gomez looked every inch the leading lady in her old Hollywood-inspired look. Featuring a structured bodice and a multi-layer pleated skirt with a train that she draped over her arm, the multi-hyphenate showed off the shoulder-baring design with an ornate statement diamond necklace with a larger pendant stone in front.

Gomez’s red carpet-ready hair–a shoulder-length bob that was parted to the side and styled in big structured waves–put her diamond earrings on display and made her beauty look the center of attention. The Rare Beauty maven chose a metallic blue-hued smokey eye, a soft peach lip, and subtle definition for her glam.

This look marks a continuation of Gomez’s recent turn to old Hollywood elegance on the red carpet—with a bold twist, of course. Throughout the Emilia Pérez press tour, the actress wore a series of glamorous, daring looks, including a sculptural red gown with a thigh-high slit, an asymmetric LBD, a black plunging dress with cut-out shoulders, an old-money tweed skirt set, a bright Christmas red ballgown, and a sophisticated black blazer dress.

Last month, Gomez got engaged to Benny Blanco after a Taco Bell-themed proposal that seemingly took place on a Hollywood soundstage. As a source later told People, it was “very her. They added, “It was a total surprise to Selena.”

While Gomez’s personal life couldn’t be going better, she also seems to be at a career-high, receiving her third and fourth Golden Globe nominations this year. In Emilia Pérez, she starred as Jessy, the troubled wife of the leader of a Mexican drug cartel. Not only did the film give Gomez chance to flex her dramatic acting muscles, it also marked her first Spanish-language project.

“I got my first job at 7, and most of my jobs from that point on were English,” Gomez told NPR. “And I just lost [my Spanish]. That’s kind of the case for a lot of people, especially Mexican American people.”

She went on: “I wish I just knew a lot more than I do. But I think that’s why I try to honor my culture as much as possible—from releasing an album in Spanish to wanting to pursue this movie. And I don’t think it’ll be the last thing I do in Spanish.”

Meanwhile, Gomez was also honored for her work in Hulu’s hit comedy series Only Murders in the Building for the third time, after previously receiving nominations in 2023 and 2024.
