Rawfa Productions of Victorville was recognized by Sen. Scott Wilk as his Small Business of the Month.

The senator celebrated contributions the business has made to the High Desert and its dedication to preserving the history and culture of Route 66.

Wilk presented the award to founder and owner Rafael Pena, whose creative vision and passion for storytelling have made Rawfa Productions a cornerstone of Old Town Victorville, the senator stated. “Small businesses like Rawfa Productions are the backbone of our community, driving innovation, supporting local culture, and inspiring future entrepreneurs,” Wilk said. “Rafael’s commitment to preserving the rich history of Route 66 while elevating the profiles of local businesses and artists embodies the spirit of resilience and creativity that defines the High Desert.” Pena said he’s deeply grateful to Wilk, his office, and everyone in the community who has supported the company since day one.

“This recognition has energized me to keep going and strive for even greater things, and it’s all for the High Desert,” Pena added.

Pena and his team work with organizations like the Greater High Desert Chamber of Commerce, Rock’n Our Disabilities, Desert Valley Hospital, and C.A.R.S Collision Auto Repair Specialist to promote local talent and businesses.

Rafael has also contributed to numerous community initiatives, including:

  • Organizing community clean-ups and leading media awareness campaigns.
  • Donating services to impactful projects, such as the Family Assistance COVID campaign.
  • Supporting public art with contributions to the mural project on Route 66 and the Hesperia Recreation Center.

“As a business owner, you’re often so focused on moving forward that you rarely take the time to reflect on how far you’ve come,” Pena said. “The community came through and showed me what we have accomplished so far.”
