Eisenhower had three players named to Region 4 boys soccer all-star teams and the Knights also had five players named to the Region 3 girls all-star teams for their performances this past fall.

The boys may have had a disappointing season, finishing 4-11 on the season, but opposing players noticed three players on the team that stood out.

Logan Degnan, who finished with 28 goals, and goalkeeper Casey Seymour, who played every minute of every game and had four clean sheets, were named to the league’s First Team. Jayce Lang was named to the Second Team.

“Both Logan and Casey will be desperately missed next season,” Eisenhower head coach Mike Taylor said. “They are both gifted players and have been exceptional role models for the younger players. They have both made essential contributions to the program in the three years that I’ve been coaching. I am sure they will not be missed by opposing coaches in his fall.”

The Eisenhower girls soccer team and first-year head coach Faith Johnson were rewarded for their 11-6-1 record this fall with four girls named to the First Team and one named to the Second Team.

Leading the way for the Knights on the First Team was senior Lexi Scholar, who had 41 goals and four assists on the season. Senior Callan Gigliotti, who had four goals and two assists; senior Sophia Martin, who was named due to her defensive efforts, although she did manage to get a goal; and sophomore Rosalie Rondeau, who had four goals and 14 assists, rounded out the First Team. Senior goalkeeper Tracey Jakubczak, who had 134 saves, was named to the Second Team.

“I am incredibly proud that for my first year of coaching I was able to have five players named to all-star teams,” Johnson said. “This past season was a season of change and learning but it is truly a testament to these players that they stuck by me through all the twists and turns that we went through, these girls were the leaders on the team. I am looking forward to even more growth next season.”
