Sézane, known for its relaxed, effortless approach to cool French-girl staples, has re-released one of its most popular, limited-edition sweaters today: In collaboration with friend of the brand and former InStyle editor Laura Brown, the French Enough sweatshirt is back in stock in the bestselling red colorway, and newly available in navy.
Brown’s first collaboration with Sézane debuted in November 2023 with 25 pieces, including trousers, denim, and dresses. However it was the French Enough sweatshirt that quickly became a cult-favorite among industry insiders and celebs — swiftly after its launch, the piece was spotted on celebs like Christy Turlington, Helena Christensen, and Julianne Moore. After one week, the sweatshirt was fully sold out on Sézane’s website.
In a previous interview with WWD, Brown explained the ‘aha’ moment that brought the ‘French Enough’ slogan to life: “When we were discussing the collection, I talked about the cliche of the elusive French girl style and how the rest of us envy it. ‘But why can’t we just be French enough?’ I said. We burst out laughing, and French Enough was born.”
The sweatshirt is exactly that, delivering a polished-but-playful vibe you can pair with everything from straight-leg jeans and loafers to a pleated maxi skirt and ballet flats. Both colorways of the sweatshirts are crafted with 100 percent organic cotton that softens with every wear, plus a round neckline that shows a peek of any white T-shirt or button-down you choose to layer it over.
Sézane is a celeb-loved brand — beyond fans of the French Enough sweater, we’ve also seen the label’s pieces on Kate Middleton, Sienna Miller, and many more. These limited-edition sweatshirts are your shortcut to French girl style this spring (not to mention, adorable for an Olympics watch party this summer), but you’ll want to hurry before they sell out again.
