MLB Thursday: Oakland Athletics vs New York Mets

Start Time – 1:10 PM EST

In New York on Thursday, I’m expecting to see some strikeouts. For the hometown Mets, Jose Quintana gets a whiff-heavy Athletics squad. They fan over nine times per game on the season and Quintana has only come up short of five strikeouts one time since July 4th.

On the other side, Mitch Spence has been within one of this number in every game since May 13th. The Mets, meanwhile, are striking out 10 times a game over their last three. Getting that 4th strikeout shouldn’t be a problem for the righty.
