Shanghai Fashion Week SS25 Street Style

Shanghai Fashion Week brought the city abuzz with standout collections from Chinese designers like Xander Zhou, Office H, SHUSHU/TONG and ANGEL CHEN, as well as presence from global brands like Moncler, Vivienne Westwood, Anderson Bell and LỰU ĐẠN.

Along with the Hyperoom SS25 showroom, Hypebeast hit the streets to capture the most eye-catching street style from the outside. Attendees dressed with expressive confidence, nostalgic fun and a tasteful dose of aesthetic subversion.

Outfits were layered to the max with long lines and baggy fits dominating silhouettes. For outerwear patent leather coats, washed denim jackets, and big-shouldered blazers recalled the 1990s. These bold styles were counterbalanced with delicate lace trims, ruched hems, and a huge presence of baby pink. Still, attendees maintained an overwhelmingly punk-esque sensibility with chrome-studded accessories and clashing prints.

Lighthearted surrealism seems to be a prominent sentiment with trompe l’oeil tops, oversized buckles and ribbons and ironic officewear styling. Attention-grabbing subversion of dress forms found its bravest expression through a heather gray two-piece number comprising boxing shorts with rhinestone embellishments and a cropped hoodie with American Football shoulders by Windowsen, while in another look, baggy camouflage cargos are worn with raw denim over-shorts and a Supreme hockey jersey.
