Shary Lee (Meredith) Weis, 60, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died peacefully at her home on April 2, 2024, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Altoona, a daughter of D. Reid Meredith and Mary Lee (Pope) Meredith.

Shary was a 1982 graduate of Altoona Area High School.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Weis; daughters, Meredith Collins and Margo Whistler; and five grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Stephanie Batrus; and a niece, Olivia Batrus, of Altoona.

She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Mitchell.

A private celebration of life was held for Shary in Florida.
