Shooting at Mason City business injures one
MASON CITY, Iowa (KTTC) – Mason City Police Department have one suspect in custody after a shooting injured a man at MidTown Liquor and Vape Friday evening.
Police said the incident happened at 4:57 p.m. Friday. As of 6:30 p.m. Friday evening, police say the area is blocked off by police and remains an active scene.
According to MCPD, police responded to a report of a shooting at the store, which is located at 824 North Federal Avenue. Initial reports indicated that multiple shooters were involved.
One man was injured in the shooting and was provided emergency medical care. The suspect in custody was not injured.
MCPD said the investigation into this shooting is still ongoing and urges everyone to avoid the area. Police said there is no threat to the public.
