SiouxFalls.Business Report: Falls Park Farmers Market grows, food truck guide released
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Jodi Schwan with SiouxFalls.Business visited to discuss how the Falls Park Farmers Market is expanding and what you can expect from the annual food truck guide.
You know spring is here with the beginning of the Farmers Market, and this year, it has an expanded format as it looks to the future.
There are more than 30 vendors, including some new ones specializing in things like sourdough bread and fudge.
The bigger story might be how big the following has become. Opening day was packed last Saturday, and those who do go will find the northeast parking area now is being used for additional vendor space, so you’ll have adjust some parking accordingly.
Bigger picture, we expect to hear more about expansion possibilities for the market when the master plan for Falls Park is released this summer.
And it’s a big day for foodies with the release of the SiouxFalls.Business annual food truck guide, which is bigger than ever.
The guide includes updates on more than 100 food trucks – who is back, who is new, who is expanding and where you can find them.
Here’s a taste of what you’ll find – new coffee, ice cream and barbecue trucks, a new Indian food truck we hope will get rolling soon, food trucks dedicated to things like French fries and churros and even a new mocktail truck for non-alcoholic beverages.
SiouxFalls.Business will detail many of the markets and special events where you’ll find these trucks, including the Dakota News Now Fridays on the Plaza, and include links so you can follow your favorites online. There are more new trucks that haven’t been announced yet, so the guide will be updated throughout the season.
