SALT LAKE CITY – Six members of the Utah Athletics photography staff have been recognized for their work, being named finalists in various categories for the World Sports Photography Awards.
The photographers include Jackson Bilawa (“Other” category), Sophia Kuder (Baseball), Keller Nienau (Football) and Eli Rehmer (Winter Sports); in addition, Davis Kuhn (Urban and Extreme) and Liv Medivitz (Ice Hockey) were recognized for outstanding photos outside of their work with Utah Athletics.
The group of six are among an even larger photo team that manages coverage of all Utah Athletics events, promotional shoots and specialty photos.
The World Sports Photography Awards is the world’s biggest and most prestigious sports photography competition. Photographers from around the world submitted more than 22,000 images in 24 sporting categories for consideration—made more challenging in a year with an Olympic Games.
