Small Business Administration Business Recovery Centers open after Hurricane Helene

Small business owners affected by Hurricane Helene can access in-person assistance at newly opened Small Business Administration Recovery Centers in Bulloch and Chatham Counties, where staff will help with disaster loan applications and provide support during the recovery process.

U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff and his office would like to share that in-person help is available for Georgia small business owners recovering from Hurricane Helene.

The Small Business Administration (SBA) has now opened Business Recovery Centers in Bulloch and Chatham Counties, where SBA staff can provide small business owners with in-person assistance on disaster loan applications, accepting documents, and providing updates on an application’s status.

Walk-ins are accepted, but the SBA also recommends scheduling an in-person appointment at an SBA Business Recovery Center in advance by clicking here

According to the SBA, the disaster declaration currently covers Bryan, Bulloch, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Liberty, Long and Screven counties, which are eligible for both Physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loans from the SBA.  Small businesses and most private nonprofit organizations in the following adjacent counties are eligible to apply for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) only: Burke, Candler, Emanuel, Jenkins, McIntosh, Tattnall and Wayne.
