Small Business Saturday expands to weekend-long event at Market in the Alley
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — As Thanksgiving approaches, the excitement for Small Business Saturday is building, and this year, Market in the Alley is extending the celebration throughout the weekend.
Jen Taler, founder and curator of Market in the Alley, said, “Everyone’s favorite post-Thanksgiving holiday is almost here. Of course, we’re talking about Small Business Saturday.”
The event will kick off on Saturday, November 30, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Arts District. The festivities will continue on Sunday, December 1, at UnCommons, also from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Taler explained that at each market, the community will have the opportunity to shop, explore, and connect with more than 70 small businesses. “From housewares to jewelry, body products to art, and everything in between, including delicious food trucks and vendors,” she said.
Taler emphasized the importance of supporting small businesses: “A city’s small creative businesses keep the overall community unique and diverse. Shopping local improves the local economy. Supporting small keeps the heartbeat of the city beating.”
The events are free and open to the whole family, including pets. For more information, follow Market in the Alley on Instagram at @marketinthealley.
